The Why

Sometimes God doesn’t give us the why. In fact, a lot of times in my own life, God hasn’t told me why even to this day.

This week I have been struggling more than I can even tell you with a situation in my life. Two days ago I wouldn’t have been able to tell you what my decision would have been regarding this situation. I was stressed beyond measure and my body doesn’t handle stress very well. In fact, it downright rebels against me when my stress level is too high. I’m not as young as I used to be I guess.

So, here I was trying to figure out what to do. I was reminded that I had thought I had a clear sign on the matter last year and was reminded to pray about it until I had an answer. So pray I did. I asked God to give me a clear-cut sign so I knew whether or not I was making the right choice. I honestly wasn’t sure I would get a clear-cut answer, after all, I don’t normally get a clear-cut answer like I was wanting now. This time, God delivered. He sent a very clear answer in the form of a sweet person I know. The decision became easy at that point.

This doesn’t mean that I won’t have difficult days or that I won’t want to run away screaming some days or that my body won’t react negatively to the stress as it does sometimes,  but it does mean that I will have something to hold onto during the bad times. I will have a concrete reminder of why I am here.

What about you? Have you had a time when God answered very clearly? Tell me about it.
