Crazy, busy life

Y’all, it’s been a very long time since I’ve written. I am so sorry I’ve been absent for so long. I’ve miss you all. So where was I and what was I doing all this time?

Our life changed VERY quickly at Christmas. I had been traveling all over the state of Texas applying for teaching jobs for months. I was exhausted and worried that by January 1st I wouldn’t have a job. I was trying very hard to leave it all in God’s hands, but I’m a worrier and a control freak and was having a difficult time. Just shows you where my faith lacks…because as always, God came through.

The Friday before Christmas break, I got a call from Waco ISD and was offered a job! Of course, that mean that I was moving and starting work in less than 3 weeks, AND it was Christmas! So, over Christmas break I was packing and over New Year’s week, I moved in. It was a crazy, busy time.

For that second school semester, I was co-teaching with two wonderful teachers at a middle school in Waco. It was a very busy, sometimes overwhelming time. By the end of the school year, I finally got a handle on what I was doing, what was going on, etc. I can tell you, even though I was a co-teacher and did not yet have my own classroom, I love teaching.

Over the summer, I was so busy with trips for professional development and back and forth from home to clean out my old house. I was able to get some rest, but no fun vacation trips this year. It was VERY nice to get to sleep in past 6 every day and get to kind of hang around the house.

Last week, I started back to school (just the teachers and staff). It’s been a crazy busy two weeks so far. I got my classroom set up, for the most part, and I’ve been working on professional development and getting everything else set up for Monday. We start school on Monday guys! I’m super excited and super nervous. I’m in my own classroom this year, teaching 7th grade English, Language Arts and Reading.

Right now, I have to get back to it at school.
